Ales Angels - Spoke on the Water

£8.00

A documentary film about six men and a pedalo - attempting, not quite the impossible but the seemingly mad challenge of pedalling the length of Loch Ness - 25 miles of deep and temperamental waters.

Directed by Chris Brooke this is the story of the pioneering, York-based Ales Angels (fund raisers extraordinaire) setting out on another madcap mission to raise money for charitable causes.

Set against the backdrop of stunning scenery in the Scottish Highlands, and with echoes of Jerome K Jerome, this cinematic escapade encapsulates the eccentricity of the British and reaches new heights (depths?) of the non-existent art of pedaloing.

Without doubt, this is the film that Michael Vaughn wishes that Freddy Flintoff had seen before jetting off to the West Indies.

Featuring the sporadic interventions of Graham Hughes (The Libertine) and narrated by Ralph Ineson (The Office, First Knight) and with an original score by Stephen Green, this film is yet another successful offering from Chris Brooke's own Rolling Snowballs Production Company
